UFC Qatar Weigh-In Shockers: Main Event Locked In, Waldo Cortes-Acosta Makes Weight After Last-Minute Flight!

The UFC Qatar weigh-ins wrapped up on Friday morning with almost zero drama, as every fighter on the card successfully made weight — including a heavyweight who hopped on a plane just hours before stepping on the scale.

Main Event: Tsarukyan vs Hooker Official

Lightweight contenders Arman Tsarukyan and Dan Hooker were among the first to weigh in ahead of their five-round showdown. The winner is expected to become the next No. 1 contender at 155 pounds.

  • Arman Tsarukyan: 156 lbs
  • Dan Hooker: 155.5 lbs

Belal Muhammad Returns, Garry Makes Weight

Former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad was the very first athlete to hit the scales, coming in at 171 pounds for his first fight since losing the title to Jack Della Maddalena in May.

His opponent Ian Machado Garry weighed in smoothly at 170 pounds.

Waldo Cortes-Acosta Weighs In After Short-Notice Call

The biggest surprise came from heavyweight Waldo Cortes-Acosta, who accepted a fight against Shamil Gaziev just one day earlier after Sergei Spivac withdrew.

Cortes-Acosta had to fly from abroad and reportedly landed shortly before weigh-ins — but still hit the mark at 265 pounds.

  • Shamil Gaziev: 262 lbs

Jack Hermansson Makes Welterweight Debut

Former top-10 middleweight Jack Hermansson officially weighed 170.5 pounds for his first welterweight bout. He faces former lightweight Myktybek Orolbai, who came in at 170 pounds.
