The Irwin family has always been known for their love of wildlife, but now it’s clear they’ve got some serious dance skills too.
Robert Irwin and his dance partner, Witney Carson, claimed the Mirrorball Trophy during the Season 34 finale of Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday — exactly a decade after his sister Bindi Irwin won the competition back in 2015.
When asked what the moment meant to him, Robert kept it heartfelt. “My sister said it best: Thank you for changing my life,” he told co-host Julianne Hough.
Irwin Family Celebrates the Big Win
Proud big sister Bindi took to Instagram to celebrate her brother’s victory, sharing a video with her husband Chandler Powell, their mom Terri Irwin, and family friends cheering on Robert’s big moment.
Powell captioned the post:
“CONGRATULATIONS @robertirwinphotography AND @witneycarson!!!! Woohoo! So well deserved.”
Earlier in the week, Bindi shared a throwback picture from her own DWTS win 10 years ago alongside their mom and Robert.
A Decade-Long Full-Circle Moment
Bindi wrote:
“Robert, 10 years ago you cheered for me as Derek and I took the Mirrorball home. Tomorrow, it’s your turn. No matter what, always know how proud I am of you.”
After Robert’s win, she posted again — this time holding both of the family’s Mirrorball trophies with her brother.
“TWO MIRRORBALLS NOW CALL AUSTRALIA ZOO HOME!!!!” she wrote, celebrating the historic moment for the Irwin family.
