Travel YouTuber Adam the Woo shared cheerful holiday vibes with his fans just one day before he was reportedly found dead at his Florida home.
The 51-year-old creator, whose real name was David Adam Williams, appeared happy and full of energy in a video posted Sunday, where he toured Walt Disney World Resort and the town of Celebration alongside someone dressed as the Grinch.
“What a fun night. What a surprising night with the Grinch,” Williams told his more than 750,000 subscribers near the end of the hour-long video. “Thanks for watching, see you in the next video. The vlog … is over.”
Those words would become his final message to viewers.
According to fellow YouTuber Mike “German in Venice” Khezri, the two had spoken later that Sunday about plans to film more Christmas-themed content together. But concern grew Monday when Khezri went to Williams’ home and received no response at the door or on the phone, a mutual friend, YouTuber Videobob Moseley, said.
Worried something was wrong, Khezri borrowed a ladder and looked through a third-story window, where he reportedly saw Williams unconscious in bed. He then called police.
Authorities have not yet released details about Williams’ cause of death.
After the news broke, Khezri shared a photo of himself with Williams on social media, posting an emotional tribute.
“Today we lost an icon in the YouTube world,” he wrote. “I looked up to you. You inspired me. You are part of the reason that I started YouTube. Rest in peace my friend.”
Moseley also remembered Williams fondly, saying the two stayed in close touch over the years.
“We texted often, we called. He would come to town. We would spend the day together,” Moseley said. “He was just such a genuinely nice guy.”
Williams began vlogging in 2009 and went on to build a massive following, with more than one million subscribers across his two YouTube channels. His upbeat holiday video, filled with smiles and festive moments, now stands as a heartbreaking final farewell.
