The first teaser trailer for Disclosure Day has arrived, giving audiences an early look at Steven Spielberg’s upcoming science-fiction film. But despite the title, the teaser doesn’t actually reveal very much — except for one big thing: aliens are clearly part of the story.
The trailer focuses more on atmosphere than explanations. Emily Blunt appears as a Kansas City weather presenter who suddenly starts making strange, unsettling sounds live on air — sounds that have nothing to do with the forecast. At the same time, Colin Firth is shown hooked up to a machine, visibly shaken by whatever he’s seeing on a screen in front of him.
Elsewhere in the teaser, Josh O’Connor declares that he wants to give “full disclosure to the whole world, all at once.” What exactly he plans to reveal remains unclear. Still, hints like crop circles and some very suspicious-looking deer suggest that something otherworldly is going on.
For now, Disclosure Day keeps its secrets tightly guarded. The film is set to arrive in theaters on June 12.
